So I don’t feel very willing to fall into these kinds of “tricks” all the time.
Not that I don’t want to see you, but since we already have tickets to Los Angeles. Northwest Airlines, they sell tickets cheaper to Los Angeles. You see, even my family, they came from far away to see me, far from Texas and Washington D.C. Things like that, but I had no time for them. I had only about an hour or half an hour with them in my house, and that’s it, and they know, they know that I don’t have time for them anymore. They know that I am a public “property” and a sacrifice lamb. So whenever they can see me, after half an hour or just a few minutes, they know that’s time to go. In fact, they have said that. They say, “OK, let’s go now because Sư Phụ (Master) will have to go and see disciples and all that. She’s the person of the world now, we can’t bind Her, we can’t expect too much from Her and all that. So love You, leave You, goodbye.”
So the fact is you get to see me more than my family. Even if I have not seen them, some of them I haven’t seen for 25-30 years. Still, I don’t have much time for them. My parents came to see me in Hong Kong, and they stayed there for two weeks, but I could only see them one or a few hours a day, not all day long and not all night. I gave them some manicures and some makeup, all that. So my mother liked it, and then gave her some massage, and then sent her to sleep, and sung lullaby, and then I slipped out very quickly. So you see, you cannot complain. (Yes.) I give more time to you, (Yes.) (That’s true.) more time to you, really.
I also don’t like to leave you; I must tell the truth. We had a good time together, and especially tonight. (Yes.) So it’s also difficult to leave. But we are Quan Yin practitioners.
